Developed all fully automated continuous phenotyping screens (germination to vegetative stage) for all core crops for the world’s largest research automated greenhouse at the RTP, NC site. Established and managed a high throughput, high-content deep phenotyping Arabidopsis screening pipeline to discover genes essential for germination, vigor and seedling growth as well as genes that can increase tolerance to various environmental stresses.

Conducted research on commercial recirculating hydroponic technology and submitted grant proposal and obtained funding from international agencies.

Conducted research on factors controlling photosynthesis and carbon partitioning in plants. Identified physiological and biochemical markers for the early selection of high yielding genotypes. Published 5 book chapters, 30 refereed articles.
