About Adil Khan

I am an executive with more then 20 years of multi-country experience in container liner shipping industry. During this period I have gained extensive experience in a number of commercial disciplines ranging from Sales, Customer Service, Container Logistics to Project Management, Business Development and Performance Management of the agencies. I have hands on experience in sales and customer service as well as managing these functions at a country and regional level. I was responsible for marketing the line both in terms of exports as well as reverse marketing which is basically working closely with the importers.In regional sales I was involved with the development and execution of the sales strategy for Sub Saharan Africa. This I would do through coaching staff, setting performance indicators and scorecards for sales and setting up centres of excellence in various parts of Africa.I have experience in new business development and have not only managed key clients but also put in place process to develop niche markets and products. I have been a part of a number of global projects. I was part of teams responsible for developing new systems and processes, their subsequent implentation and the related change management in the various local agencies.I am driven by new and challenging busienss development opportunities, particularly in an international environment.
