'Sarvpaksh' is a boutique consultancy offering legal advisory and policy advocacy support. Operating through a network of lawyers and development sector professionals from across India, this offering is of particular value to stakeholders in the policy and development space - NGOs/CSOs, international organisations, social businesses and foundations. Founded on the principle that sustainable policy solutions need to be located in and owned by the people they are meant for, 'Sarvpaksh' (true to its meaning in Hindi), endeavours to deliver solutions that are not only accessible to all but also equally benefit all. In this pursuit, 'Sarvpaksh' recognises that there is great value in exchange of legal acumen and innovative approaches to fostering trust among stakeholders and bring to life effective policies across different contexts. The ‘Sarvpaksh’ platform envisages empowering, legally and strategically, ‘change-makers’ (our inspired clients, our partners) and the ‘change-making’ process to become more dynamic, impactful and allied to the communities they serve. And in rendering this support (legal advisory, research, stakeholder engagement, campaign etc), 'Sarvpaksh' hopes to influence public policy, law-making, media and public opinion in fostering respect for and promote human rights and sustainable development.Some of our recent work has been for, among others, the World Bank Group, Save The Children India, Apnalaya, Aajeevika Bureau, Dasra, Piramal Foundation, Kaivalya Education Foundation, Lawyers Collective, Speak out FGM, The Logical Indian, Efforts For Good, All India Women's Education Fund Association, The Good Edge etc.

I led a team of four to manage research and policy strategy to advocate for laws that guarantee road safety and protection of Good Samaritans. Through strategic engagement with Parliamentarians across party-lines, successful Parliamentary interventions were undertaken. A high degree of media sensitisation across all mediums was actualised through execution of targeted campaigns. On the research front, I was tasked with drafting legal and policy reports and supportive legal provisions (draft laws), analysing publicly available data and relevant policy reports and managing the organisation’s Right to Information exercise. I also undertook project management (including donor relations and reporting) and recruitment for the organisation.

Selected as 'Top Talent' by the senior leadership at Edelman India, a global firm providing consulting services in areas of public affairs and strategic communications. Here, I helped organisations navigate public policy processes by identifying, assessing and prioritising opportunities and risks in pursuit of their goals. Through a process of engagement with all stakeholders, I managed issues faced by the client with a view to influence public policy, build and maintain a strong reputation and seek common ground with stakeholders. I developed and executed advocacy campaigns for numerous clients including conglomerates like the Tata Group and rights-based organisations like International Justice Mission and the Gates Foundation. I was also tasked with managing advocacy and crisis communications across the media and stakeholder universe for Tata Power, Tata Motors, Kellogg’s, Diageo, Pallium India, Starbucks, among others.

Responsible for legal and policy research on infrastructure issues, access to healthcare and rights-based development. I inter-faced with domain experts across sectors through stakeholder mapping, perception audit, government outreach efforts for clients in pursuit of business and or policy objectives and developed and executed thought leadership platforms for clients.

At Lawyers Collective, a leading NGO advocating for human rights, I was responsible for drafting and making depositions before respective Parliamentary Standing Committees on multiple issues faced by women and children in India. On a project partnered by Ford Foundations, I was deeply engaged in studying ‘equality and non-discrimination’ through the lens of international comparative law. Under mandate from National Advisory Council, Government of India, I also assisted in drafting the ‘Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence (Access to Justice and Reparations) Bill, 2011’.
