I have always been amazed and inspired to see how software can help us solve real-world problems. There is an incomparable potential in software engineering that can have a positive impact in improving lives around the world. Being a Software Engineer, my idea has always been to keep growing my knowledge and work on real-life problem-solving projects.My interest in computers leads me to join Lovely Professional University for my B. Tech program in Computer Science domain where I understood the theoretical concepts: Algorithms, Networks, Operating System, Databases, Software Development and many more. My first industry experience was when I bagged an internship in my final year at TiVo and worked as a software dev intern for 1 year. Putting first steps in the industry I became familiar with how the CS concepts are applied real-world. In the first half of my internship, I worked with the testing team and the latter half with the development team for Mobile Applications at TiVo. This made me understand the entire software development life cycle in an MNC.After TiVo, I joined HERE Technologies as a full-time Software Development Engineer in Aug 2018. My learning curve in this company never peaked and was continuously increasing. I worked on several components related to Search, Ranking, API, Category-and-chains, Candidate generation, CI-CD. My interest in AI and ML grew tremendously over time in this organization. I had to leave my amazing team at HERE in Aug 2021 to pursue my Masters.My keen interest in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence has encouraged me to go for my master's. I graduated from the University of Waterloo, Ontario from the MEng program AI-ML specialization.After work, I try to find some time for sports. Be it Badminton, Cricket, Tennis or even foosball, I love watching and playing them. So next time when we meet, feel free to call up for a game.
