As someone who is deeply invested in equity and social justice, my work at SEEDS was extremely important to me. Over my three years, I coordinated five distinct programs at Reed’s community engagement office reaching more than 400+ students. All of these programs focused on building and sustaining programs that fostered positive, healthy change in the wider Portland community and were mutually beneficial for Reed students, local community members, and community organizations. In this role, I also helped two program directors transition into their new roles. This meant taking on directorial duties during the hiring period. This included task such as managing the finances and logistics of the SEEDS program while communicating with participants, community partners and various on-campus offices.
