Research intern in Prof. Praveen Karanth's Lab. I am currently contributing to their Golden langur and Nilgiri Langur project here. I am extracting DNA and doing PCR's to get sequences for certain genes in order to build a phylogeny. I am also using genomics tools to figure out the reason behind the unique golden coat color that Golden Langurs possess.

At THT, I worked as an intern in their On-Ground Initiatives Department. I contributed to their Indian Navy project at Karwar, and their Terai Grassland project in Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. Most of my time was spent in the field doing surveys or helping with other necessary tasks in these projects.

I took part in the Lab's project on transcriptional regulation of trehalose metabolism. I tried to clone a few transcription factors, conducted Electrophoretic Mobility Shift Assay experiments, prepared samples and analyzed data for metabolomic and proteomic analyses, and also conducted Real-Time qPCR experiments using the Cotton Bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera as a model system. Additionally, I contributed to the rearing of H. armigera and Spodoptera frugiperda individuals in the lab.

Performed in-silico studies as an intern at RJ Lab, Biochemical Sciences Division, CSIR-NCL, Pune

Worked with Prof. Smita Zinjarde's lab. Remotely did in-silico work on metal-binding proteins in Yarrowia lipolytica. Also contributed to writing an original review article that we have published.
