As a Chemical Engineering Intern at Material Physics for Energy Management - Rice University, I engineer various types of solar cell devices to compare and improve their power conversion efficiency to at least 24%. I synthesize solution-based solar cell films, devise experimental protocols, and execute light absorption and X-ray diffraction analysis. I am passionate about developing novel non-silicon solar cells that can achieve high performance at low cost and environmental impact.I am also a BS candidate in Chemical Engineering at Rice University, expected to graduate in May 2025. I have completed courses in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, reaction engineering, and process design. I am currently working on a team design project in collaboration with Neotech Products, a neonatal medical device company, to design a safe, biocompatible device that would prevent the accumulation of air in the stomachs of infants on CPAP ventilation. I have significant leadership and team experience serving on the Rice Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Board and on the cabinet of the Rice Chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. I have also gained valuable skills in Python, MATLAB, Microsoft Excel VBA, Java, Autodesk Fusion 360, 3D Printing, CNC Machining, X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy, HPLC/GC/TLC, Hindi, and Mandarin Chinese. I am hoping to find an engineering internship that will allow me to contribute to impactful projects that will put those skills to work and advance my career goals.
