Vivid Sydney 2023 introduced Vivid Food, a brand new pillar for Australia’s largest festival which celebrates creativity and innovation. Vivid Food events actively promoted the night-time economy and provided memorable, world-class experiences for attendees. The program celebrated the Sydney and NSW produce, food and wine scene in original and dynamic ways and incorporated the other pillars of Vivid Sydney light, music and ideas. The inaugural program presented 22 events with highlights including the Vivid Fire Kitchen, a three-week celebration of flame-fuelled food featuring acclaimed international Fire Pit Masters; The Vivid Residence which brought one of the world’s most renowned chefs, Daniel Humm of Eleven Madison Park to Aria Sydney and The Vivid Chef Series which paired cutting-edge chefs from around the world with some of Sydney’s best restaurants for a series of collaborative dinners. Other events included Chefs on the Harbour, Vivid Rooftop Experience at Aster Bar, Vivid Sydney Dinner, Vivid Night Markets at Carriageworks, House of Naturalia and the Here Now Street Party.

Direct duties included creative development of projects working alongside Creative Directors, managing timelines and budgets, finance management and task allocation, collaborating on client development plans and responding to new business opportunities as well as leading the execution of events.

MCI is one of the world's largest professional conference organisers and providers of strategic planning management for the event industry. My role as a Producer was a senior position with their Creative Services division and held me responsible for logistically planning and executing MCI’s larger, creatively focused, high profile events. Responsibilities included end to end Event Management from concept to execution as well as specialised creative duties such as Concept and Entertainment Development.

The position entailed acting as Creative Lead managing the creative and production design, build and execution of events. Direct responsibilities include: Event concept design, responding to briefs, pitching, production management, supplier recruitment, talent sourcing and selection, creative script writing, creative direction and budget management. Credits include the creative design, build and execution of the 1st ever gala dinner to take place on the stage of the Dolby Theatre - home of the Oscars, recreating the famous 1940’s “Ciro’s Lounge” in the Ballroom of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel and shutting down Sydney Harbour for a spectacular fireworks show featuring vocalist Mark Vincent.

Markson Sparks! is one of Australia‘s premier publicity, celebrity management and events organisation. My position was responsible for managing International Events & Speakers, the events division of the company. I was responsible for the creative and logistical build of all events, launches, gala dinners, functions and touring productions executed. Direct responsibilities included complete budget control, senior stakeholder management, recruiting of all contractors, venue management, sponsorship and marketing, talent/entertainment management, Ticket allocations, publicity, creative design and all aspects of final execution. In addition to managing the Events Department I often assisted PR and have executed publicity campaigns for a variety of clients including Celebrity Hypnotist Mark Stephens, New York Number 1 Bestseller “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” author Dr John Gray and inaugural winner of The Biggest Looser Adro Sarnelli.

Showtime Attractions are one of Australia’s major event companies, specialising in corporate Event Management, Festivals, Parades, Licensed character management and Theming. With over 15 years of handling major events throughout Australia, Showtime Attractions has developed a reputation amongst its clients and industry peers for providing exceptional events with innovative and creative concepts.My role was a Senior Management position which entailed the co control and management of the Sydney office, including all operational procedures, staff, sales KPI’s and events executed in NSW. As Special Events Producer I also had sole responsibility nationally for taking the company into a new direction by sourcing, securing and executing key signature national events. My role included being Westfield’s preferred Event Producer for special events such as touring productions or those that were to be activated simultaneously across multiple sites nationally.

A senior management position, which entailed the day-to-day management of all business structures and revenue. Responsibilities included overall marketing, booking and branding of live entertainment products, shows and events, including all structures and operational procedures. Researching, preparing and submitting of Arts Grant Applications in the hope to aid the funding of Promotechnics core brand “Wild Aussies”. Executing all branding and style approvals with various licensors including Cartoon Network, Fox Studios and BBC. Manage the acquisition of the Australian/Asian live performing rights for various characters. Liaising with various clients, promoters, suppliers and manufacturers regarding contracts, purchases and bookings from concept through to completion. Managing, mentoring and assisting to develop the skills and attributes of company staff.

Europe

A Senior Management position 2 down from Captain managing a staff of approximately 45. The position included the responsibility of being the public face and spokesperson for the cruise ship and directing, delegating and managing overall operations of all facets of entertainment to ensure a high quality cruise experience. Areas of responsibility included all production shows, guest and resident entertainers, stage management, musicians, animators, children’s hosts and entertainment program, cabarets, nightclub entertainment, secondary lounge entertainment and all theming. I also controlled Entertainment staff’s involvement in dis/embarkation, revenue generation, event coordination and office management as well as calling passenger drills
