Principal Scientist
Research Scientist, Molecular Interactions
Lecturer In Chemoinformatics
Postdoctoral Research Assistant (Marie Curie Fellow)
I'm a Marie Curie Fellow associated with the European Project D3i4AD (Diagnostic and Drug Discovery Initiative for Alzheimer's Disease). I develop novel tool compounds to understand the effect of oligomeric forms of amyloid beta on the prion protein and its downstream effects that are thought to lead to synaptotoxic effects. Additionally, I apply machine learning methods such as deep learning to aid in phenotypic screening campaigns.
Phd Student Of Computational Life Sciences
My research interests are the use of visualizations and method development for structure-activity and structure-property analysis, specifically in the area of compound optimization. Compound optimization is a multi-parametric process and the methods I developed allow medicinal chemists to better understand the relatioships inside the data sets they work on, in order to help in the development of new analogs or novel chemical series.
Master Student
I performed my Master's Thesis under Jurgen Bajorath, where I created a visualization to explore SAR relationships in multi-target data sets, such as kinase profiling data sets.
Student Assistant
I helped start the analysis of two sequenced bacterial strains. I analyzed the contigs we received and started the assembly.
Internship
I did molecular genetics work (DNA extraction, PCR, Gel electrophoresis,...) in a genetics diagnostics laboratory.
