I have always believed that if you find a job that you can enjoy you do not “work” a day in your life and this is something I have been able to achieve my entire working career. From the first moment that I was introduced to programming I knew this is what I wanted to do.In my software develop career I have developed and worked on a incredible range of projects ranging from software used in the 2000 Olympics to Newspaper Press production support software and most of these projects where successfully completed. However, I also believe that projects that you fail at are just as important as they they taught you very important skills and knowledge that does not come from any other source.Over my career my software development skills merged with analytical systems when I developed CIO (Critical Inventory Optimisation) which is a complex analytics solution to analyse inventory stock levels and vendor performance reviews . This software was latter purchased by Hitachi Energy and further grew to support 15 global customers.Whilst supporting CIO, I joined a team creating an analytics system for a large ERP application. I was the Analytics Architect in this team and supported their adoption of the MS analytical stack. During this period, I enhanced the basic tooling of SSIS and SSAS with a suite of applications to support installation, patching and customisation.I have also a proven track history of being able to provide a range of roles including pre-sales support, consulting and training.
