Providing day to day technical support to agency DVS staff members and operations at 34 Benefit offices, 8 VVFS offices, 2 Care centers, 3 cemeteries and the Virginia War Memorial. I will fulfill service requests, resolve network related incidents and solution problems, while supporting changes to servers, applications, databases, and support rollout of new equipment, including PCs, mobile devices, and DVS enterprise networks. I provide support to the agency’s End Users and Network Operations. Also provide technical leadership, and coach and manage daily duties for the staff of IT Engineers per the direction of IT leadership, local security officer responsible to ensure compliance with the Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) and Department of Veterans Services’ policies, and guidelines; compliance with state and federal statutes governing the collection and security of data, and the administration of IT systems and applications.As the IT Engineer I also support and escort key VITA and other related suppliers and vendors for site specific needs. Corrective action regarding job performance is overseen by Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations.

Install, configure, maintain, and support the hardware and software systems used in our Production & Distribution environments, and provide technical assistance and training to system users.

• Perform enterprise asset management to track over 500 technical systems including both hardware and software• Manage User Administration and Group Policies, to maintain the appropriate security levels in SyteLine, SharePoint and Workstations• Work directly with on-site web developers and project managers by providing template creations, web content editing, and design work using an agile project management methodology while meeting all set deadlines• Create clear and concise documentation for active operational procedures• Provide administrator support for an enterprise ERP system• Support fellow associates and all levels of management as the business transitions through massive strategic changes required to create a better business value• Set up personal computers, network printers, VOIP phones, audio and visual equipment• Install various software and drivers while assessing and troubleshooting any technical issues that may occur
