With over 14 years of experience in the aerospace industry, I have built a robust career at Aero Engines Ireland, starting as a mechanic and steadily advancing to my current role as General Manager. Throughout my journey, I have gained comprehensive expertise in both the technical and managerial aspects of the business, having served as a Workshop Supervisor for five years before assuming my current leadership position.As General Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the successful completion and certification of all work required by contracted operators, ensuring strict compliance with internal procedures and EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) standards. I lead a highly skilled team, ensuring that all personnel involved in maintenance are fully trained, competent, and up to date with industry best practices. My role also includes managing quality deficiencies, upholding high standards of workmanship, and liaising with the Compliance Monitoring Manager to review subcontractor performance.A core focus of my role is implementing and enforcing safety policies, addressing human factors, and ensuring that all outputs meet the highest quality standards set by both the organization and regulatory authorities. I am dedicated to driving operational efficiency, fostering team leadership, and maintaining a culture of safety and compliance at every level.I am passionate about continuous improvement, leading teams to achieve excellence, and ensuring that we consistently meet the highest standards in aerospace maintenance and safety.
