Sometimes the interest in "how things work" has lead directly to the "why they don't" but by the age of 5 after a few visits to the hospital I had figured out that eating the parts did not usually result in a successful rebuild! Progressing from mechanical to electrical/electronic and then logical devices I have acquired a range of practical approaches to hardware and software which mean I can build, repair or wreck most things given enough time and incentive. The ability to compartmentalise systems and processes, figure out how they work individually as components and then together as a whole, underpins my current business life. As business analyst, software engineer and general tech support guru I like nothing better than getting to grips with a new system and making it do what is required of it, whether designed for the purpose or not.
