I am a clinical negligence lawyer and lead our Clinical Negligence team in the Midlands. I am also head of our Birmingham office and I am an NHS Resolution nominated partner. My work involves handling the full range of claims from low-value work, right through to complex catastrophic injury on behalf of the NHS.I have run a number of cases to the Court of Appeal including Miah v West Midlands SHA and the high-profile case of Thompstone v Tameside and Glossop Acute Services NHS Trust, being the leading England and Wales case on indexation of periodical payments.In addition to my fee earning responsibilities, I have also run in depth training masterclasses for a number of local West Midlands NHS Trusts on the legal aspects of Midwifery, Obstetrics and Neurosurgery and have been responsible for the firm's response to government consultation on both the Jackson reforms and the discount rate.
