I have been a Multi-Language programmer for over 20+ years. I have developed software utilizing, COBAL, Assembly Language, variants of Basic, Pascal, Modula II, and variants of C++. All of this has been for the love of programming.My skill sets also involve Retail Management, Sales, and customer service. Working in retail has been a nice reprieve from the solitudes of software development. This has also contributed to my skills of working as a Systems Analyst. The need to communicate with clients and translate technology with clients is a must.This past year sabbatical was devoted to learning new skills in technology. My career had been devoted to Databases, Data analysis for so long – I felt the need to move into areas of multimedia. DSP (Digital Signal Processing) learning curve was step.N’Harmony Software, Defiant, gave me the ability to push all the skills I have developed over the years. It required me to look over “dated” (1989) User interface – analyze the work flow – and come up with new ideas of speed, efficiency, and power in the field of making music. It included developing 7 interface designs to test, until one finally proven the winner. It was an open door to new ideas of features, which would be problematic with the current breed of software, but fit nicely with a new design.Why Music Software, you might ask. I have been involved in some form of Music and Arts all my life, from singing in choirs, being in bands, and friends in the performing Arts. This came natural.My current goals – would be to continue to push the skills I have developed over the years. There is much to purse. My biggest challenge at this time is to finalize Defiant (which never happens with software – LOL – you always find new features with new technology) and bring to the Market.
