CloudBridge International Consulting, dba CloudBridge Media By Design, is a wholly foreign-owned company that provides marketing, translation, consulting, video production, design and programming services to Chinese partners, both private and government. In 2017, CloudBridge entered into or completed English-language tourism marketing contracts with three Yunnan government bureaus, including the Yunnan Tourism Bureau itself. The company has now expanded operations into Chengdu, with an aim of replicating our information-source websites as bridgeheads for selling our services in new, underserved markets.The original website, GoKunming.com, is the online resource for Yunnan Province and its capital city, Kunming. As our flagship website, GoKunming offers up-to-date information regarding events, local businesses, news, nightlife, and travel, as well as incredibly active user-generated classified and forum sections. GoKunming is southwest China’s largest and most important English-language website.My role changes depending on the needs of the company. I actively manage the company's accounts and budgets, copyedit and review content for publication, participate in the creation of marketing materials, and form strategies for business planning and future expansion. Given the startup nature of the company, my work as a co-founder has also included: - Sales of website projects and services, including advertising. - Management of website's platform and content, both in-house and user created. - Assisted in video production for tourism project services, including acting and voice recording. - Direction of management, communication and staff feedback.

Kunming, Yunnan, China

Alei was an upscale lounge club and bar experience in the heart of Kunming, with a focus on international design, top-shelf drinks and spirits, day-time international tapas, high-end personable service, and a posh environment. For almost five years, we prided ourselves on being one of the first and finest modern cocktail and wine bars in the city, with an environment that was reminiscent of New York or Shanghai. For a majority of that time, Alei cash flowed generously, and a renovation and expansion plan was put into place. In the beginning of 2017, however, we were unable to secure any extension of our lease, despite exhausting our best efforts. Thus, Alei was closed and liquidated in May of 2017.As the majority owner, I put together a team to manage and execute the vision my business partner and I planned for in the two years before we opened. Actively, I saw to adhere us to the bigger picture, financially as well as principally, while working on every small detail, from the sound-stage, the menus, the timing of order until service, all the way to bathroom cleaning. Kunming, as a tier three city in China, presented an opportunity in the burgeoning upscale consumer spending market, and I positioned Alei to be the first in the door on an international-standard hospitality experience.

Vinetree 康藤 (originally Kingsway), is a five-star luxury brand of tented campsites within the upscale, outdoor adventure travel market, located within Yunnan province, China.I participated in the vision creation of Kingsway, which is a pioneer in many ways, including the exclusive use and development of the Ge La Dan plateau for commercial ventures, the first luxury tented resort in greater China, and the world’s highest altitude luxury tented villas. I believe that Vinetree will eventually be synonymous with memorable adventure traveling, unique design and facilities, and the leader of a new paradigm of high-end, outdoor experiences in China.Working primarily as a branding and marketing employee, I also assisted in the overall business planning and creation stage of Vinetree. My role included: - Creation of the first brand name, logo, original website and marketing materials. - Scouted sites for the first tented resort and assisted in site planning. - Sourced and assisted in tent design, interior design and tour design.

It offers travelers a true immersion into authentic China. Guests reside in an expansive and luxurious courtyard home in Xizhou, a pristine village in Southwest China’s Yunnan Province. The facility is a nationally protected heritage site that has been restored to its former dynastic elegance. In the foothills of the Himalayas, guests enjoy a year-round spring climate and direct access to rich, undisturbed cultures in a true melting pot of the region. The goal is for guests to touch the ‘old’ China that is elusive to most visitors, and leave with enriching experiences that last a lifetime.During my time at the Linden Centre as a part-owner, I wore many hats to fulfill any/all roles required, including: - Developed branding, marketing, website and listings. - Led and assisted thematic tours and worked in guest relations. - Created a business plan for future expansion. - Assisted in design and planning of site and operations.
