My Role within Herbert Engineering Ltd is a Field based sales role working with both new and existing customers. This involves developing new business, mainly through our existing agents and distributors. Operating predominantly within the agricultural and freshpack industry, Herbert Engineering is a manufacturer of high quality capital engineering equipment and projects vary in scale from individual items of machinery up to large scale "turn Key" projects. On such large scale projects I am working very closely with both the customer and design engineers in our dedicated drawing office, to ensure that customer requirements are achieved. I also travel extensively across Europe and other countries to meet with distributors and their customers in order to understand their markets and requirements and to deliver the right solution for their project.RJ Herbert also operates a dedicated company working within the airport sector for baggage handling and security systems, where I have also had international involvement as and when required.

Managing an existing client base and reviewing existing policies to ensure they remain appropriate for clients. Researching long standing client portfolios and identifying areas of potential financial need.Client marketing, including organising client events as well as writing to and contacting clients relating to portfolio reviews and additional investment opportunities.Identifying areas of potential new business and researching appropriate solutions for the client.Investment advice.Pension and retirement planning advice.Life Assurance advice and recommendations.

Marketing Rapidhome’s products in the UK through trade bodies and press.Establishing, developing and maintaining a customer base to distribute Caravan Holiday Homes in the UK and Benelux Countries.Supplying UK and European Tour Operators with Hire Fleet ranges to their own specifications.Trade exhibitions.Organising and running trade stands for Rapidhome at export exhibitions.Stand and Product preparation on arrival from France.Selling to customers during the exhibitions.Export Specific Product Development.Working very closely with the National Caravan Council (NCC) to ensure that the UK models met stringent UK Standards for type approval to be granted.Working very closely with the Design Team and Production Director in all technical aspects to ensure that the NCC requirements were met.

Maintaining and developing key accounts throughout France and the Benelux Countries.Marketing ABI's export range of Caravan Holiday Homes through regular distributor visits, retail and trade exhibitions.Extensive travel throughout France, Benelux and occasionally other European countries.Control and implementation of marketing budgets.Working closely with the trade and retail press for all aspects of publicity and advertorials.Responsible for a sales team of two commercial agents.Organising and running stands at both trade and retail exhibitions.
