Adrian began working in public service in 1998. As a civilian, he worked in one of first five dedicated source units (HUMINT) of the UK’s London Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). These units introduced rigour and structure to management of human sources. Two years later Adrian joined the UK’s criminal intelligence agency and again worked for an informant handling unit. This unit managed assets overseas. Adrian’s final role in the UK involved him transferring to the London Bureau of Interpol. Since immigrating to Canada, Adrian expanded from local, national and transnational criminal intelligence, into the security guard, security integrator, and loss prevention sectors before returning to the public sector in police oversight.Adrian is a licenced security risk consultant, private investigator and video installer in the provinces of BC and Alberta. He has managed a private K-9 unit that worked across North America and held various volunteer positions with the BC Aviation Council, BCIT’s aviation industry group, the Mission Rod and Gun Club, the BC Chapter of the International Association for Health Security and Safety and the Canadian Pacific Chapter of ASIS International. Adrian has previously and remains open to working pro-bono seeking abducted and missing children across international borders.Views are Adrian’s own.
