The company provides maritime transportation solutions for energy infrastructure projects of leading Global Energy & EPC Companies with a modern fleet of heavy transport vessels.Responsibilities:- Manage the procurement activity in compliance with the company's management system;- Contract and Suppliers management- Perform strategical contract and procurement negotiations;- Develop and improve strategic sources of supply, identify potential new suppliers;- Select and evaluate of existing, new and potential vendors;- Supplier management and identification of improvement opportunities;- Provide regular reporting to the relevant stakeholders;- Develop and implement methodological recommendations and proposals for strategical improvement in the procurement process and Management System- Purchase vessel related and Company related materials and services around the world. The expenditure consists of but is not limited to consumables (deck/engine stores, PPE, Lube oils, paint, chemicals, M/E & A/E spares, and bunkers), CAPEX (equipment and machinery) and services (repairs, annual surveys, dry docking projects, inspections, logistics related, telecom, IT);- Write and distribute technical bid invitations, receive and analyze the proposals, and award the contract;- Initiate & Drive Sustainability initiatives for waste reduction

In this new role I had set-up, configured and shaped the procurement process to ISO 9001 standard for quality management system. During the annual DNV-class audits, I have never had any non-conformities (only minor observations). I also managed all activities related to procurement (strategic / tactical / operational) for the assigned ice -class, heavy load ocean-going vessels and periodically for the office needs. Collaborated closely with relevant departments (Finance, Engineering, HR / Crewing, Operations and the Vessel) to ensure a cost effective, risk averse and high-quality procurement and delivery of necessary goods and services to these vessels world-wide. For other responsibilities, please see further RBES B.V.
