Responsible for daily sourcing of softwood lumber from primary and secondary suppliers in the Pacific Northwest and Inland lumber producing regions. I also negotiate and close on long-term contracts for lumber. I am required to be able to work with multiple different UFP manufacturing facilities to ensure they have the proper inventory available to them when needed. Part of this inventory process is to be able to forecast future movement in the lumber market with the goal of buying material at the right time to maximize profitability.I am responsible for the department of buyers that purchase from the same geographical area as I do.
