Following a career changing injury I retrained in the use of landscape and forestry based equipment including chainsaws, chippers, stump grinder, strimmers/brushcutters, and in the safe use of pesticides. Due to the type of a large proportion of work I have also completeted a 'working by water' courseCurrently a self employed contractor, much of the work I am involved in is for the Environment Agency, managing flood defences, water courses, and river banks to reduce flood risk while maintaining healthy ecological habitat.Other work includes carrying out grounds and woodland management at large country estates, commercial, and domestic properties.

Self employed farrier.All aspects of farriery undertaken.Veterinary referral and insurance work.Focussing on providing a quality, professional, and highly reliable service to horse owners.The business grew largely through word of mouth and through satisfied customers recommendations.Through my work I was also involved in some demonstration work at a local school.

Farrier.This role involved providing all aspects of high quality farriery. It also included helping in the day to day running of the business, and helping to train the apprentices in both forge work and at customers premises.

Apprentice farrier. Completing a traditional 4 year and 2 month apprenticeship.

Created media articles about science related products for publication in industry journals.

Performed a technical marketing role, enhancing the profile of the company and promoting it into new industries and applications.Developed a users database to increase colleagues all round knowledge of products potential.Worked in close conjunction with a digital marketing company to create the company website.Represented the company face to face with end users at conferences, exhibitions, and trade events.
