I am a Nurse Unit Manager leading a team of clinical and non-clinical staff on an acute general medical ward. I have extensive experience working clinically and in nursing management positions within a large metropolitan tertiary hospital.I have previous experience as a local government councillor in a large growth municipality in the north of Melbourne, having served a four year term. I have served as a non-executive director on the board of a community health service, which provides primary healthcare with a strong focus on allied health, preventative healthcare, public dentistry and disability residential and day services. When I am able to, I choose to volunteer my time with respected, non-profit organisations where I see that the time I am able to commit is of value to the greater community. In previous volunteer roles I have gained experience in volunteer management and the delivery of training recognised within the AQF. I have a passion for patient safety, quality improvement and clinical governance. I am interested in progressing my career in the health industry and seek to gain further board of director experience.
