Day-to-day booking, promotions and marketing for an independent music venue in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District.

I led artist relations/booking for all channels within the Rocket Radio Podcast Network (Rising, Country, Hip Hop) as well as research and host interviews. Rocket Radio championed primarily emerging, but also established acts and we produced unique short-form podcasts that are a combination of an artist interview and their music.

I worked closely with my managing editor to oversee an International network of contributors, assign/create/curate content and manage a year-round festival content calendar. Generating story ideas, putting together galleries and developing relationships with new and existing contributors. This was a passionate team of creatives focused on festival communities worldwide and I could not have asked for a better group of people to have worked alongside for over three years.

I assigned and edited the Best of What's Next section as well as the print Best of What's Next section for Paste Quarterly. I also created and oversaw the Daily Dose feature, which sees a diverse stable of contributors highlighting new music each day.

I managed and created various different communities of users, editors and moderators in addition to overseeing company-wide social media strategy (600K+ FB, 150K+ Twitter). Creating and editing content was an every day task as well as working with artists, labels and digital marketers to produce engaging content for fans and build brand identity both ways.RapGenius.com (Now Genius.com) began as the top lyrics site on the internet and evolved into a full annotation platform. Rap lyrics led to Rock Lyrics, which led to poetry, breaking news, sports, lifestyle, international content and beyond....all annotatable. With over 40 million unique monthly visitors, it's a massive community and cultural hub.

Fan Compass builds fan engagement microsites for professional teams and collegiate athletic programs. I ran social media marketing campaigns & wrote copy for clients like the Oakland Raiders, University of Washington, UC Berkeley, Houston Dynamo & Colorado Rapids to mobilize fan communities and build revenue streams.
