 Business partner to VP for Softlines EMEA and four category directors. Softlines is the largest licensing business with EMEA and encompasses the Apparel, Footwear, Home and Accessories categories. Responsible for helping develop, drive and implement the Softlines Licensing Strategy across EMEA. Specifically it is my role to provide commercial guidance to the European VP and category directors to drive incremental growth by gaining market share and increasing value capture. Responsible for forecasting, budgeting and the quarterly close for the Softlines P&L. I have two direct and one dotted line reports working with me in the regional head office. Provide day to day commercial support to the Category team on shaping commercial terms for our key regional contract renewals; resolving contractual issues and guiding the team with the licensing decisions they make.

Key Responsibilities: Reporting to both the Consumer Products VP of Finance and the Food Health and Beauty VP I am responsible for helping develop, drive and implement the Licensing Strategy for FHB across EMEA. Specifically it is my role to provide commercial guidance to the European VP to drive incremental growth by gaining market share and increasing value capture. Lead commercial negotiations and contract implementation with licensees for new business and contract renewals for regional and global deals that are signed by the London office.  In partnership with the local markets I am responsible and accountable for FHB forecast for EMEA.  Control of the Regional FHB cost centre and lead accounts receivable collection discussions with licensees when they default on payments.

 Reporting to the VP of Stationery Europe I was responsible and accountable for forecasting, budgeting and the quarterly close for the European Stationery P&L. Worked closely with the Stationery Europe VP to help define and implement the vision for licensing within Europe for Stationery. Responsible for managing the Stationery Europe Finance team which consisted of a Senior Finance Analyst, a seconded appointment from the contract administration team and an intern.

 Reporting to the Stationery Finance Director my role was to manage the Stationery Europe P&L during close, forecast and budget cycles and all related Global and European Financial deliverables. Provide financial analysis to support the Regional and UK Stationery category teams.

 The main purpose of this role was the management of the Hard lines consolidation and financial processes for the quarterly forecast/ close and the Annual Operating Plan. Dotted line management of three senior finance analysts for all hard lines financial reporting and processes.

Key Responsibilities: Management Reporting including: P&L/ balance sheet consolidations for forecasts and month end; running revenue recognition programmes, key performance indicators; balance sheet reconciliations; working capital reporting . Systems implementation. (Hyperion) Statutory reporting and year end disclosures. Management and allocation of European shared costs. UK Corporation tax calculation and VAT filing.

 In this role I worked as an Accounts Assistant and was recruited to support the Division during the transition to resource based accounting.
