About Adrian Young
I've worked in the IT industry for 19 years. Straight from school, and always employed. I started off as a computer operator and worked my way up. I've got a really strong technical background, developing in multiple languages, but focusing lately on J2EE. I'm Java OCJP and OCMJEA certified. I moved across into management and never looked back, incorporating all of the things that make me a good developer and trying to take that to the wider level. I'm now a software delivery manager on a large devolved government programme, where I manage massively complex J2EE releases through the entire lifecycle. I'm ITIL Foundation, Prince 2 Practitioner, MPS Foundation and PSM level 1 certified. I'm also the application lead in BT Advise UK Application and Information Management, helping to set the strategy for application development across the LOB.
