Responsible for:• Leading commercial strategy development for the business covering market, customer, product and channel strategy.• Delivering a clear and deliverable pricing strategy for the business which maximises revenue quality and minimises unwanted price attrition.• Delivering an integrated marketing and promotional plan, consistent with the commercial strategy and supportive of the delivery of the business's commercial KPIs. The plan has a clear focus on digital marketing - based around targeted e-mail campaigns and search engine optimisation - but also includes elements of PR, collateral development and exhibitions. • Leading on the development of a data-led sector and segment based approach to suspect acquisition and management of the base; supporting a annual new business target delivery on a more cost effective and efficient basis.• Stewardship, development and measurement of the City Link brand and corporate reputation.• Ownership of all web-based customer channels - including the delivery of an improved, responsive main brochure website • Developing and improving our customer's experience of doing business with us through a programme of improvements to the proposition and service wrapper - including defining the customer journey for City Link's estimated time of delivery service, On Our Way, and the introduction of a new consumer web channel, Click & Send.

Responsibilities included:• Delivering Government funding pitches: managing the overall process, delivering component studies, leading the detailed due diligence process with Government officials, creating and delivering board and ministerial briefings • Developing long term strategic plans - leading a virtual team of between 20 to 30 people through a process of rigorous analysis, developing clear strategic options, facilitating a series of direction setting workshops and ultimately created compelling plans• Leading the creation of clear and consistent Go To Market plans across 13 separate markets allowing the Board to critique product, channel and customer strategy as a single integrated.• Developing successful pilots for strategically critical customer propositions, including self-service kiosks and financial services sales implants.• Establishing the scope and plans for a multi-million pound operational efficiency programme and developing the investment case for a major refurbishment project.

Responsible for:• The proper running of the operational support services to Post Office Ltd’s Cash Services Supply Chain through the provision of fit for purpose support services including IT systems, equipment, consumables and specialist property• Managing Post Office’s cash holdings and compliance with Bank of England Notes Circulation Scheme rules and reducing cash holdings• Leading a team of 60 employees, including four senior direct reports and multi-million annual budget of £15m• Managing Post Office Ltd’s relationship with APACS, the Bank of England and the Security Industry Authority• Leading the business through the introduction of SIA licensing for cash crews, ensuring compliance to time

Responsible for:• Designing and operating the Post Office card account - a simple bank account for benefit and state pensions customers - and for the account management of the DWP, HMRC and NISSA • Designed the Post Office card account, taking it from a one page concept through to a live service with over 4m customers, achieving satisfaction ratings of around 97%• Account managing the relationship with the Department for Work & Pensions, HM Revenue & Customs and the Northern Ireland Social Security Agency in relation to the Post Office card account banking service.• Managing the product profit & loss account for Post Office Ltd’s largest external client.
