Health innovation has got to be one of the most exciting things that is going to happen this century. From personalised medicine to artificial intelligence to big data; the future is looking very bright. But governments and organisations have a lot of work to do to get all these innovations into everyday practice to help people who need it the most. I'm truly excited about what's coming around the corner, and want to help organisations and people make that happen.I'm a social scientist and policy professional with an obsession for emerging health technologies. But, given I have no engineering background, I try and take a look at how technologies will impact our lives from a social science and public policy perspective. Because sometimes we need to look at things through other disciplines. I completed my PhD on the diffusion of innovations at University College London, looking at how innovation gets implemented in healthcare organisations. My main interests are on policies that encourage innovation and the diffusion of emerging technologies, and understanding their social implications so that everybody wins.
