What a ride! After being part of the efforts to raise a 7-figure seed round, I spent the next few months coordinating the recruitment of the team and the setting up of our operations with one of the other co-founders.I was then able to focus on my product role: undertaking user and market research, designing a product roadmap, managing the product process with the web design agency and our dev team, working with our marketing and sales teams to produce collaterals and product demos.Palico is an online marketplace for the private equity fund community, with over 1,500 LP and GP members.

My main role as an associate was to handle the execution of secondary transactions on fund stakes held by institutional investors: pitching potential sellers, preliminary fund valuation, selection of the most relevant bidders, setting up transaction datarooms, managing the bidding process, facilitating the negotiation on terms and legal documentation.I also participated in the fundraising efforts of a large French buyout firm, advising on the fundraising strategy and drafting the marketing material. Aside from this, I got the opportunity to design and build an internal matchmaking platform (on MS Access) to make a better use of Triago's vast amount of information on secondary market participants. And I managed the overhaul of Triago's custom-made CRM, recruiting a .net developer, collecting needs within the team, drafting specifications, and testing the iterative releases. Triago is a private equity fund advisory firm, supporting fund managers in their fundraising efforts and assisting institutional investors in the sale of their fund stakes.
