This job has been very challenging;… Show more 2008 – 2012: Rising RecordsAgent for 32 bands, dealing with:* Tour and show booking* Tour accounting* Agencies and promoters around the UK and in other European countries* Various magazines for publishing and reviews* Working in P.R.*looking after bands and record label social mediaI have held this job for 4 years now and have booked a total of 12 UK tours and 10 European tours for various bands. This job has been very challenging; working long hours and weekends, often under tight timescales and pressure, as well as when required driving to different areas of the country at short notice. I had the care and responsibility to look after the business and organize distribution of catalogue. One of my biggest successes in the job was booking a 61 day tour across 24 different countries, This wasextremely difficult due to the language difficulty during negotiations and contract talks, As a tour managerI had to sort out ferry crossings, Catering for the bands, Accommodation for every night, It was a huge success. I managed to have 3 bands play Download festival 2012 and was able to get 27 interviews over the 3 days. i was approached by 6 bands to start managing.This job has increased my IT skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with installing latest software and backing up of work files and Maths due to tour accounting.I enjoyed working in PR with my rosta and over the 2 years using haulix, i managed to have 1 introducing feature in kerrang (The Dead Lay Waiting), Inside front and back cover of Aor magazine (The Morning After), Reviews in kerrang, metal hammer, big cheese and rocksound, I also booked the 3 week long trigger the bloodshed and bleed from withing tour and got a full 2 page inside cover of terrorizer which included tour dates, album covers, release dates of albums, I have had 4 videos on scuzz and kerrang (trigger the bloodshed, the dead lay waiting, the morning after and bleed from within) with the use of fastrax.
