Advertisers thrive on USPs and I am lucky to have two of my own. I'm the first ever Irish creative to have won a Gold Cannes Lion. And I was the winner of the inaugural (and possibly only ever) Cannes Grey Lions competition.I am currently Creative Director at Havas Dublin where we continually strive to create work that matters to us, our clients and - most importantly - the people it's aimed at. Advertising seems far more exciting now than when I started out. It’s an industry that encourages the learning of new skills and I love that.I have a passion for nurturing emerging talent, teaching young creatives in DIT and Fitzwilliam Institute. While on the ICAD board, I helped initiate the ICAD Upstarts programme and have continued to mentor students over the years.I write and release music under the name Mononymous, which is enormously rewarding as I get to make my own videos with not a pesky client in sight. And sometimes I pick up awards for my musical efforts.Awards are great, but I get an equal satisfaction from watching clients’ market share heading in the right direction, lest we forget what it’s really all about.
