CurrentIn 2011 I gave up my career of 20 years in the music industry as a promoter and publicist and created Pongathon, a social ping pong events company channelling my passion for event organizing, music, bar culture and of course ping pong! It was a big risk but one that was to launch a new and exciting career path for me!In my far distant misspent youth I had been a county and England ranked junior table tennis player. However, by the time I was 16 I had given up competitive play and joined the local tennis club. However, I always had a special place in my heart for table tennis. Fast forward to 2017, Pongathon is now a leading social ping pong events brand introducing the game to thousands of people every year via its Sport England funded workspace and university programmes, residencies in London and Oxford as well as delivering a huge range of tournaments and team building events for the corporate sector, music festivals and conventions.I could never have envisaged having so much fun spreading the gospel of ping pong to so many people! And yes I am proud to say there are as many ladies playing the game as there are tennis now. Here is a little video of what we do: http://youtu.be/MKe_5y9IFFA
