What is Pongathon? A uniquely inclusive and fun team building concept created around social table tennis. Background: In 2011 Adrian Leigh, ex county player and high-profile music promoter created Pongathon. His mission – to socialise table tennis through music and entertainment. Pongathon quickly became known as the go-to for exciting, engaging, and innovative experiences including international events, expositions, conferences and music festivals. The Pongathon team also created and delivered ‘Pongathon University Challenge’ and ‘Pongathon City Challenge’, two mass social table tennis participation programmes for Sport England and Table Tennis England, pioneering the transformation of social table tennis in the UK. Social table tennis nurtures people’s instinct to participate, socialize, laugh and have fun, meaning everyone regardless of skill or gender, can participate and enjoy the game from the very first ball hit.
