Member of the architecture team at Morrisons, working with the data and wholesale work streams.Within the data work stream my responsibilities included leading a team of off-shore/3rd party developers to migrate Morrisons’ on-premise Operational Data Store (ODS) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This was a challenging project as the source code for the on-premise system had been lost sometime ago and therefore the executable SQL code had to be reversed engineered and used as the baseline requirement for the GCP implementation. I was required to not only understand Morrisons (data) operating model but also quickly gain knowledge of GCP products and services.Within the wholesale work stream I was responsible for integrating external customers with Morrisons’ system to enabling distribution of Morrisons wholesale products. This included integration of 3rd parties and cloud (Amazon Web Service) services with on-premise order processing and dispatch systems.

Cross Channel payments: The Carve Up framework allowed for the seamless and deeply integration of common payment functionality across all channels thus reducing time to market for the introduction of new method. Solution Architect

London, England, Gb

Senior member of William Hill Online's Architecture team responsible for the delivery of business driven IT solutions on mobile and web channels.Providing enterprise level governance and guidance to strategic initiatives and projects to ensure compliance with Current and Future State Architecture.Successes included - The integration of William Hill's account and betting services with a number of high profile 3rd party iOS and Android applications. This include centralisation of payment functional to maximise reuse and reduce development required by external parties. Integrations included Racing Post, Racing UK, the FA and Virtue Fusion (Bingo). The migration of William Hill's mobile Sportsbook on to the Mobenga platform. For this I designed an architecture that abstracted the underpinning business logic and services away from the Mobenga platform. This de-coupled implementation has enabled reuse of these services by other William Hill systems. Designed and oversaw the development of APIs which consume William Hill’s various back-end systems and exposes their functionality as services in a generic, consistent and robust way. This simplified the integration of 3rd party services and systems thus decreasing delivery time.
