What I did:As part of my role, I delivered Key Strategic Data Warehouse initiatives for Commercial Excellence across Europe from inception to completion and exceeded client expectations. I maintained and fostered relationships with key customers and stakeholders ensuring timely delivery of projects. Leveraging on my business acumen, I managed key resource and ensured efficient work allocation. I resolved numerous issues with speed and accuracy and implemented back-up plans during the implementation phases. I served as point of guidance and was recognised as subject matter expert in all areas. I efficiently automated existing manual processes and decommissioned legacy models.What I achieved: Oversaw two Data Warehouse initiatives and developed a robust plan to achieve the goals as well as met stakeholder expectations. Designed, tested, and implemented SSAS cubes built from the main Data Warehouse successfully meeting the deadlines.  Built entire Data Warehouse solution models in line with Kimball best practices. Improved the SSIS processes to run in minutes instead of hours and documented the appropriate measures for continued support. Reduced overnight Batch Failures by 98% by implementing robust best practices resulting in 20 hours per week less support overhead. Embedded the corporate reporting tool Tableau across the European teams and aided in the evaluation of PowerBI as an alternate option. Decreased turn-around of project deliverables from months to weeks satisfying all the unhappy customers.

What I did:Here, I managed the Data Warehouse by performing all upgrades and enhancements. I reviewed operational and technical procedures to ensure stability and efficiency of the Data Warehouse. I oversaw schedules to remove inconsistent run times and improve overall delivery of MI to the specified requirements. Also, I created and analysed reports using SSRS for the end users to subscribe and published to production after obtaining sign-off. I prepared reports and visuals using PowerBI (reporting tool of choice) as prescribed by Microsoft best practice. What I achieved: Led various small projects to convert data feeds from / to existing customers / suppliers using the improved functionality provided by the Data Warehouse. Resolve issues with the Data Warehouse data post DynamicsAX 365 go-live, including researching of tables and AX infrastructure to ensure correct data entries into the Data Warehouse. Increased user adoption of the BI reporting solution by increasing confidence in the underlying figures. Developed solutions to show gaps in markets and sales coverage across the whole business reducing support calls by 25% and increasing usage of self-sufficient BI.

What I did:In Data Warehouse Consultant Capacity, I analysed and reviewed the current management information structure, data feeds, software, and hardware. I effectively conceptualised the Data Warehouse solution to provide the blue print for the project plan based on the outcome of the management information review. I performed management review, including review of necessary infrastructure to provide a stable foundation, database design, ETL process development, Automation, Management Information Delivery, UAT, Regression Testing, Disaster Recovery, Implementation, and Fall-back position. Also, I formulated the planning documentation regarding risk and issue management for the entire life cycle advising the COO on weekly basis. I produced Logical and Physical Model documentation to support the creation and administration of the Data Warehouse. I installed and configured Business Objects and SSRS. Upgraded and redesigned SSIS packages from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2014. I developed procedural guides for the BAU team and reviewed the effectiveness of the team post-handover.What I achieved: Co-ordinated the implementation of the Data Warehouse by integrating feeds from a variety of data sources into a robust and stable platform using SAP Business Objects as the reporting engine. Reviewed and demonstrated different Management Information delivery mechanisms, such as Business Objects and SSRS. Designed and implemented Data Quality solutions to enable the expansion of the Data Warehouse to encompass a greater volume of data for metrics.  Implemented the BO XIr3.1 system and infrastructure to enable reporting and query building as well as provided support to the end users and evaluated requirements. Built and tested the ETL layer for SQL Server 2005 using SSIS and implemented the packages to run on a nightly basis.
