Appointed January 2013 as the first Executive Director for the SEED Business Incubator which is housed in the $14 million Southwest Louisiana Entrepreneurial & Economic Development Center (SEED) serving the five country area.Con-currrently worked as Executive Director of Lake Charles North Redevelopment Authority to revitalize a key section of our community.I have extensive experience both as a business owner and one who works hands-on with entrepreneurs from home-based to mid-size companies in developing their business and managerial operations.• Established The Leadership Academy for College student (Alpha Phi Alpha). A training seminar conducted over several days each year at Johns Hopkins University, chaired by Dr. Ralph Johnson.• Organized Economic Development and Investment Forum in Nassau, Bahamas also celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Bahamian Independence.• Served as the first CEO of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial project. o Established the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Team. o Conducted international memorial design and selected winning design. o Secured prime 4 acre site on the national mall in Washington, D.C. o Obtained initial $15 million in corporate sponsorship. o Appeared on C-Span and CBS Morning Show discussing the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial.Established Alpha University, an in-house training and educational operation for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
