Autonomous Vehicle based on 3D sensing

• Developed and implemented mapping, localization, path planning, and navigation algorithms in C++, Python, ROS for controlling autonomous mobile vehicles, robots, forklifts, and excavators.• Developed and implemented a terrain perception system for autonomous excavators. 1. Utilized ROS and CAN protocols to collect raw terrain data from LiDARs and stereo cameras and applied sensor fusion.2. Developed a data wrangling algorithm in C++ to process raw terrain data.• Programmed a patented algorithm that calculates the total excavated volume in real-time using GPGPU/CUDA in embedded computers.• Implemented a new algorithm for pallet recognition software for autonomous forklifts with a detection accuracy rate of 99.9%.• Spearheaded 8 autonomous solution projects from start to finish. Responsibilities included managing projects, delegating tasks to junior team members, providing progress reports directly to the CTO, and collaborating with other research labs and companies.

• Developed the control software and Qt GUI for autonomous cattle feeding robots using C++ for smart farms in South Korea.• Developed a path planning algorithm for the manipulator of the cattle feeding robot.• Collaborated closely with research lab members to understand software requirements.
