Postdoctoral FellowUniversity Of Idaho May 2019 - Jan 2021Moscow, IdahoI study the effects of changing disturbance regimes on permafrost hydrology in boreal forests. In this research, I use a physically-based hydrologic model (SHAW) and inversion-based parameter estimation and uncertainty analysis methods to understand and predict surface energy and water dynamics. I am working with an interdisciplinary team to integrate SHAW with the landscape succession model, LANDIS-ii in order to better understand ecohydrologic feedbacks in the boreal forest. -

I also led multi-day and multi-week backpacking trips for middle and high school aged students, incorporating environmental science lessons with backcountry travel skills.
