My passion is making a difference in people’s lives — and my greatest pleasure comes from collaborating with others to do so. This is also a family trait that is the hallmark of our business success. For three generations, my family owned, independent insurance agency has had one mission: Understanding customers’ needs and making a difference in people’s lives. I am proud to carry that heritage forward in the quality of service delivered to our customers and valued partners, as well as to our community.My work ethic and management style evolved from a combination of sports, college and workplace experiences. I began playing team sports in middle school and continued in college, where, as a Division I volleyball player, I was elected co-captain in senior year. After earning a B.S. from Cameron School of Business at UNC Wilmington, I entered the insurance field, working first in Florida as a personal lines underwriter then in Raleigh as a marketing representative. In 2009, I returned to Wilmington and joined James E. Moore Insurance Agency, Inc., as a producer. Since then, I have served on a variety of nonprofit boards, including the UNCW Alumni Board, Keep New Hanover County Beautiful, and the North Carolina Aquarium Society. I am also active in local philanthropic groups. Additionally, I am a graduate of the Leadership Wilmington Class of 2011, past chair for the Big Sweep, and in 2014, was featured in “Fourteen Under 40,” by Wrightsville Beach magazine.These ongoing activities broaden my understanding of people, hone my leadership skills — and reinforce my conviction that the insurance industry can play a positive role in people’s lives and businesses.And that is why James E.
