Interns assist the lead teacher in managing a classroom of 13-20 students, working with a supplied curriculum and providing updates to the manager, including visual media and student testimonials. They help maintain classroom order, manage supplies, and support teaching activities as directed by the lead teacher. Over the course of the internship, interns will assume increasing responsibilities and, with the support of their mentor teacher, will have opportunities to practice leading the class.We are committed to using our curriculum as a tool for change, offering exceptional visual art programs that enable young learners to express their individuality and expand their knowledge of the world and its diverse cultures. A Michiganensian Photographer provides the aesthetic substance of our book. Photographers must work on consistent time crunches in order to photograph community events, sports, student organizations, and various happenings across campus. Photographers must be able to edit their photos efficiently to provide content for social media and the print publication. At events, photographers are also responsible for documenting information in each picture including names, position titles, school affiliations, etc. of subjects in order to provide to writers. Prior camera experience is required; prior editing experience and the ability to photograph a wide variety of styles is highly encouraged.

Valued as a competent behind-the-scenes leader ensuring production events are executed smoothly and efficiently. Manage technical and administrative tasks, from running errands to distributing scripts, coordinating craft services and assisting with lighting and sound for studio and on-location shoots.
