Supported 1300 server environment supporting development, certification and production environments for customer facing applications for all of Reed Elsevier divisions. Lead the virtualization team that consolidated and virtualized 50% of the servers over a 3 year period avoiding significant upgrade cost, reducing the time to market and reducing the complexity of the environment.Managed remote 24/7 Data Center supporting new product development and data fabrication. Managed 17 employees providing support for Procurement, Operations, Unix System Admins, Windows System Admin, DBA, Telecom and Telephony. Provided day to day supervision and guidance and routinely visited site 1 week out of the month.
