My name is Annie Johnson and I’m the current President of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) San Francisco Chapter. I'm a senior Communication Studies major with minors in Public Relations and Advertising, passionate about the creativity and problem-solving opportunities that the public relations industry fosters.As President of PRSSA San Francisco, I’ve worked to create spaces where students can connect, share their interest in PR, and expand their professional networks. In this role, I have overseen our chapter’s internal and external communications, developed meeting agendas and content, planned and hosted events, collaborated with other PRSSA chapters, and secured guest speakers to inspire and educate our members.During my time as a digital marketing intern at Terra Arma, I honed my analytical and copywriting skills by developing buyer personas and translating market insights into actionable strategies. My certification in Hootsuite Social Listening, along with my proficiency in Monday.com and Later, enables me to optimize social media content and contribute meaningfully in a variety of contexts.After graduating this fall, I plan to pursue graduate school to further refine my skills and expand on the foundation I’ve built during my undergraduate studies at the University of San Francisco.
