The Center for the Future at Factory Berlin examines the most critical issues at the intersection of technology and society. Across various research clusters, the Center's fellowship program brings together young scholars probing how technology will shape the future of humanity, provides them with training and mentorship in science communication, and connects them with our empowerment partners and our community.As Director, I led all aspects of the program's development and execution, from original conception and acquisition of corporate partners to stakeholder management and delivery of cornerstone formats.

As Community Strategy Manager, I employed a broad range of quantitative and qualitative research methods to evaluate the performance of Factory Berlin's community programs and formats, and developed data-driven strategies for their optimization. This included:+ building the data infrastructure for an in-house digital platform;+ redesigning the product structure in the wake of the pandemic;+ overhauling the member application, curation, onboarding and integration flows;+ managing the member acquisition strategy at our first location outside of Berlin.

Luxembourg

+ Directed national campaign (Luxembourg) as part of pan-European political party's participation in the 2019 European Parliamentary elections. Mobilizing thousands of voters, Volt Luxembourg achieved a better result than any other national chapter. + Managed six candidates and performed tasks as diverse as directing television ads, orchestrating media appearances, developing voter outreach strategy and managing large team of volunteers.

+ Developed B2B strategy for nonalcoholic wine startup. Orchestrated marketing campaigns, liaised with local business partners and acquired new clients in Berlin metro area. + Managed team of market outreach assistants. Through guerrilla marketing campaigns in stores, public events and Christmas markets, quadrupled Kolonne Null's revenue in only six months.

+ Managed Meetup's operations in the DACH region. Supported Meetup organizers by hosting workshops, sharing best practices and optimizing the German-language platform. Created partnerships with local events and organizations, and orchestrated two pilot projects for the European Meetup market. + After Meetup was acquired by WeWork, developed the strategy for Meetup@WeWork and oversaw its implementation in 12 pilot WeWork locations. Collaborated closely with WeWork Labs in monitoring the success of Meetup@WeWork and evaluating other community-building strategies.

San Francisco Bay Area

+ Re-organized and re-categorized the product portfolio for Google Play's German-speaking market. + Liaised with music industry partners in the German-speaking market, optimized SEO functionality and implemented new strategy for cataloguing German-language titles.

Los Angeles, California, United States

+ Recruited Lyft drivers in the Los Angeles metro-area for the #lyfteveryvoice campaign, which allowed drivers to donate their tips to charitable organizations on selected days. This led to Lyft's 'round up and donate' feature. + Conducted extensive qualitative research, including over 100 driver and rider interviews, to examine how Lyft can respond to the needs of underserved communities. This research contributed to Lyft's LyftUp program.

+ Created a community of Airbnb hosts in Oxford, sharing resources and best practices, organizing joint events for guests, such as architectural tours, pub crawls and punting outings, and engaged with local governance bodies. + Recruited and managed team of student employees. Students received free accommodation for managing properties and were able to support themselves throughout their studies with fun flexible, and well-paying work.+ Presented six product concept papers at the Airbnb Open in Los Angeles, 2016.

+ Conducted extensive qualitative research by trialling a VR-based educational app in over 100 primary and secondary schools across the United Kingdom and Ireland.+ Led user-testing sessions with students of all ages as well as focus groups with teachers, wrote weekly research reports and collaborated closely with developers of Google Expeditions.

+ Worked directly for the Isaiah Berlin Professorial Fellow, Prof. Timothy Garton Ash.+ Conducted extensive research to Prof. Garton Ash's contributions to publications such as the Guardian, DIE ZEIT and the New York Review of Books, among others, as well as his book "Free Speech: Ten Principles for a Connected World".+ Organized panel discussions, press availabilities and other events with Prof. Garton Ash, and collaborated with the Institute for Strategic Dialogue on a research project on Jihadist networks.

Kissinger Senior Fellow for U.S. Foreign Policy, Walter Russell Mead. + Conducted extensive research for Mr. Mead's contributions to publications such as Foreign Affairs, the Wall Street Journal and the American Interest, among others, as well as his book "The Arc of the Covenant: the United States, Israel, and the Fate of the Jewish People". + Organized panel discussions, press availabilities and other events with Mr. Mead, and collaborated with the U.S. State Department in planning some of the first civilian delegations to visit post-invasion Iraq.
