Brian is the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Iv3 Aqua Corporation, a global water and wastewater company. He was recruited after the sale of Culligan International to be Iv3 Aqua’s first Chief Legal officer. He also works in multiple global areas with the Iv3 Aqua team, including business development, governance, ESG, and government relations.At Culligan, an international water services company, he was Chief Legal Officer, an Executive Leadership Team member, and the Executive Leader responsible for development and implementation of Culligan’s global environmental, social and governance strategy. In addition, he was General Counsel for Quench, a Culligan subsidiary. He joined Culligan in 2020 in connection with Culligan’s purchase of AquaVenture Holdings ("AVH"), a NYSE international water services company (NYSE: WAAS). He had been recruited in 2019 to be AVH's first General Counsel and tasked to develop a global legal organization. He held a substantial leadership role in AVH's sales process.Prior to AVH, Brian was Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for AES Corporation, a NYSE Fortune 200 global power company. Brian managed a global legal team and multiple other teams, including Business Development, Cybersecurity, Government Relations, Ethics & Compliance, Investigations, Political Action Committee, Internal Audit, and Corp Secretary. Brian also led AES’ policy agenda and developed relationships with the U.S. Government, domestic businesses, and governments and businesses located in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Brian has received numerous recognitions for exemplary leadership and results. He has been recognized as a "Distinguished General Counsel" by New York Stock Exchange, a "Visionary" by National Law Journal, the Outstanding Chief Legal Officer by Washington Metropolitan Corporate Counsel Association, an “Attorney That Matters” by Ethisphere, Top General Counsel by First Chair Chicago, and Governance Professional of the Year by Corporate Secretary.
