Ameera is working as a consultant with a strong foundation in business fundamentals, having completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Dhaka University, majoring in International Business. Starting her career in the health-tech sector, Ameera pivoted to management consulting with LightCastle Partners, where she continues to work with bilateral development partners, including the Embassy of Switzerland and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.As part of an organization that is a key contributor to Bangladesh’s startup ecosystem, Ameera is the lead author of LightCastle’s flagship publication series, the Startup Investments Report, which delivers quarterly insights into the country’s startup funding landscape. Some of her past project experiences include working with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which involved coordinating across nine countries in Asia and Africa to provide monthly reports on the Digital Financial Services (DFS) landscape. Her diverse portfolio also includes the Biniyog Briddhi program, where she supports impact enterprises in scaling their solutions through funding and capacity-building initiatives. She is also the lead consultant of SheSTEM, a program aimed at creating equitable opportunities for female STEM students in Bangladesh, where she has successfully established partnerships with eight private sector employers to enhance industry-academia linkage.
