Research Fellow for the project ‘King’s Colonial Past’ supervised by Dr. Jean Smith. The project explores the college’s complex and diverse associations with colonialism – areas of investigation include how slave trade financed King’s, how King’s educated individuals who went on to contribute to the imperial order and also those who challenged it. The project also includes the legacies of colonialism in the built environment and material culture at King’s including memorials, statues and artwork.- One of two research fellows for a project investigating the connections between King’s College London and colonialism- Conducted extensive archival research on-site at the KCL Archives looking specifically at institutional history, military and defence studies and civil service connections.- Produced a research report that contributed to the development of an on-campus exhibition entitled “King’s Colonial Past”- Achieved the King’s Experience Research Award following the successful completion of the findings report
