I am a creative and driven human with flexible and wide ranging interests, seeking opportunities to challenge myself, tackle challenges and develop my skills. I have experience in qualitative research, the communication of ideas and the organization and management of teams and resources. I view setbacks as challenges waiting to be overcome or circumvented. I handle such challenges enthusiastically and I enjoy overcoming them with creative and ideally even elegant solutions. While working towards my undergraduate degree in History and Political Science at Colgate University, I developed skill in leadership and organization, analytical research and verbal and written communication. Whilst studying history in London, I pursued independent archival research. I also contributed to research with the Colgate Political Science Department. I worked for three years in content development and public presentation at Colgate's Ho Tung Visualization Laboratory, a planetarium and multi-media classroom and education platform. During my third year, I became the Lab's first project manager and I worked with its director to help improve communications and efficiency within its content development teams. I also helped to reorganize and restructure a campus public events group called The Game's Afoot. During my time as co-president and as a presidential adviser after my elected term (which began months early due to organizational challenges), we increased average event attendance by 50%, expanded our event spaces, acquired our first storage spaces, introduced new initiatives and won the school's Group of the Year award.
