Specialising in taxation this role involved advising HR, payroll, global mobility, reward and senior executive teams in international Financial Services companies on the design of policy, management of remuneration costs, resolving cross-border technical issues, global compliance and management of globally mobile populations. Specific experience included:- Secondment into the Performance & Reward team of an international bank providing on-site tax advice;- Designing compliance programmes for large, multi-country homogenous expat populations;- Management and supervision of diverse expatriate compliance programmes;- Offshore pensions consulting;- Development of thought leadership on the Statutory Residence Test;- Development of internal and client facing training on equity based remuneration.As part of this role I spent six months seconded into the PwC Forensics practice. As a Training Officer for the Air Cadet Organisation my role encompassed the personal development of young people in a disciplined, pressured and dynamic environment. With a personal specialism in leadership training this role included regular evening commitments to local cadet forces as well as instructor roles on national residential courses at the RAF College Cranwell. Helping to develop the confidence and self-esteem of young people through live weapon training, flying experiences, fieldcraft, leadership courses, physical training and skills-centric classroom tuition has been an extremely rewarding and exciting part of a volunteer career with the Armed Forces.

Ronfix provided comprehensive, quick and competitive computer repair and maintenance services to students and other domestic customers throughout Nottingham. Self-employed alongside a partner I managed a team of four technicians to deliver a targeted and popular service at home, in workshop or on campus.

I worked with one of the largest independent leisure boat sales companies in Europe as a Captain, requiring an International Certificate of Competence. I provided support in moving small powerboats between the company's facilities at Marbella and Puerto Banus, providing clients with a Captain service for days out and assisting with maintenance. I also spent a number of weeks working as a deckhand on a 22m vessel with an entirely Spanish crew and client.
