I am currently a student in Singapore Polytechnic pursuing a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Biomedical Engineering. Throughout my time in Singapore Polytechnic, I have learnt the foundation of Mechanical Engineering, such as Mechanics, Engineering Drawing and MasterCAM. Furthermore, I am learning more about Biomedical Engineering, such as learning how medical devices and instruments work, and its design purposes in healthcare.While I was a student at Temasek Secondary School from 2017-2021, I had ample exposures and opportunities in leadership training and relevant programmes as a Peer Support Leader. I helped organize the Secondary 1 Orientation and Post-Exam Activities, and I learnt much more about effective and collaborative leadership. In Singapore Polytechnic, I hold an executive committee position in the Community Service & Cultural Club as Audio Systems Vice-Coordinator. My role in Community Service & Cultural Club is to provide audio support for other subcommittees at their events. Furthermore, I oversee the execution of the annual Rave Night event open to all SP student club members. These opportunities to leadership and experiences make me more proficient in leading a team, in events planning and executions, and forging new friendships. I am always open to more opportunities to enhance and hone my leadership skills.I intend to pursue a career in Biomedical Engineering, and a team player as well as my affable and curious nature. My career interests in STEM began during my education in Temasek Secondary School, where I studied Biology other than the Combined Sciences from 2017-2018, and had a deep interest in learning more about it. Additionally, I studied Design & Technology from 2019-2021, where I found my added interests in engineering-related innovations and designs.
