AFJ3 Communications is my company under which I conduct marketing, media and public relations activities. Clients include public relations firms and their many clients, media outlets and financial advisories.

Mambu is a SaaS, cloud-native, API-driven digital banking platform catering to banks, lenders, financial technology companies (Fintechs) and other entities. The platform is designed to power financial innovation, to bring solutions to market faster, drive down cost barriers and allow ecosystems to expand.At Mambu, I managed content and narrative efforts for Latin American (LATAM) lead-generation campaigns as well as for global brand-building projects through all stages of the marketing funnel. Content, which included white papers, blogs, bylines, client success stories, social media and organic campaigns and video scripts, converted leads into paying customers.• Overhauled marketing content focus to include the business advantages of migrating to the Mambu core alongside the tech benefits.• Supported managers’ thought leadership presence by ghost writing their social media postings, media bylines and by preparing them for public speaking engagements and roundtables. • Campaigned for Mambu and company customers to win fintech and banking awards as part of efforts to strengthen awareness over the value that digital banking creates. • Improved the writing and delivery of press releases for new accounts and go-live announcements to inform markets of growth and client success stories.• Prepped company executives to appear in media interviews across the Americas, which amplified both awareness and lead-generation efforts at no additional costs.• Thanks to my content and to my contributions to marketing strategies for Latin America (LATAM) specifically, the region was the top-growing geographic area in the company during my time there.

During the pandemic, I handled external communications for a financial advisory as well as published my first work of fiction, The Placebo Agenda.• Overhauled a quarterly newsletter highlighting market commentary, fund returns and investment strategies for a financial advisory firm focused on small-cap equities.• Wrote and published The Placebo Agenda, a novel based in Venezuela and Miami. The book received maximum five (5) stars out of five (5) critic reviews on Readers Favorite and a 4.5 rating from readers on Amazon.

Managed internal and external communications for the company’s Environmental Protection Department, most notably the annual report on compliance and performance matters, a highly confidential and data-driven documents for upper management. I also managed external communications involving environmental, health and safety issues.• Overhauled the company’s annual report on environmental compliance and performance, specifically by creating a master report and sub-reports tailored for internal confidential audiences, the public and government ministries. • Revamped the design, content and editorial strategy for Enviro News, the firm’s environmental news magazine, to focus on tangible results taken to protect the environment while producing hydrocarbons in a sustainable manner. • Created and launched Green Matters, a monthly column on environmental issues in the company newspaper The Arabian Sun to showcase air, land and marine protection efforts as well as inform readers of what they can do to conserve resources in this key Middle East market. • Provided communications support and research to company executives representing the Kingdom in various multilateral climate venues, including the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and its annual Conference of the Parties.

Managed content and communications needs for clients across various industries, including public relations firms and their clients (ranging from spirits producers to multilateral lending agencies), media outlets and corporate clients.• Wrote exclusive, well-sourced financial news stories, including feature-length editorial articles and spot news items, for various media outlets including Investing.com, Newsmax, Global Finance and other organizations.• Wrote and edited press releases, newsletters, internal reports, speeches, marketing documents, translations and white papers for PR agencies, whose clients included Diageo, World of Business Ideas, Alexander Hughes, Pernod Ricard and the Andean Development Corporation, among others.

Managed data surrounding the Latin American personal computer and server markets as an internal vendor for Microsoft’s Latin American Headquarters. Compiled spreadsheets with economic and technology data for executives needing to make marketing and business development decisions.• Improved the delivery of economic and industry indicators to business development and marketing executives, largely by strengthening messaging as opposed to dumping data.• Bolstered technology industry presentations, such as syndicated PC and server forecasts from outside vendors, by building stronger narratives and storylines.• Improved executives’ visibility internally and externally by quickly handling ad-hoc requests for data and research ranging from economic indicators to demographics to technology information. • Amplified access to relevant technology data by designing and launching an internal collaborative portal.
