Convinced school district administrators to increase high school band funding by coordinating and joining with the lobbying efforts of other high school booster organizations. As a result, school district administrators increased funding by average of $20k/year for each of the district’s high school band programs. Managed the revision of the organization’s accounting practices for improved transparency and for strict compliance with IRS 501(c)3 policies and guidelines. Revised student fundraising practices to be compliant with Fairfax County School Board regulations.

Managed Broadcast International’s first-ever software-based video encoding product field trials with a teir-1 telco in North America, with a tier-1 IPTV provider in the Caribbean, and with a market-leading video back-haul network operator. Managed partner sales activities with HP, Dell, IBM, and SUN in the eastern half of the US for video encoding opportunities.

Booked approximately $8.5M of video transport hardware product sales to Verizon for its FiOS and commercial video networks. Engineered video transport links in the Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and Syracuse FiOS networks. Managed the lab evaluations for five new video transport interface cards resulting in their network deployments. Organized and managed Nevion’s role in the analog-to-digital upgrade of Verizon’s Washington, DC News-Pool video network. Managed Nevion’s contract compliance with the Nevion/Verizon master purchase agreement.

Negotiated a worldwide reseller agreement with Verizon Business making it Net Insight's first tier-1 telecom customer in the US and Net Insight’s first worldwide reseller of Net Insight’s converged networking video platform. Increased purchases by $1.5M as a result of resolving a contract dispute with a reseller. Added a new channel partner; and created and delivered all sales and engineering training for this new partner. Created new joint marketing collateral for all partnered sales to rural-market IPTV network operators.

Booked approximately $180M in product sales from a new customer. This new customer became Ciena’s largest account, at the time. Hired and managed new sales and engineering team members for supporting this new and very large customer. Oversaw and managed an international matrix organization responsible for the installation and launching a pan-European fiber optic network of high-density wave-division multiplexing equipment.

Managed the region’s 15-member sales staff which booked approximately $35M/year. Individually responsible for booking $125M in new product sales for a nationwide US telecom network. Managed the lab evaluations and field trials for new products that would eventually add approximately $5M/year in sales. Created and launched the division’s first inside sales organization resulting in approximately $3M/year in sales. Revised and computerized the division’s monthly sales forecasting processes, achieving a two week reduction each month in data collection. Created and launched a new bonus and commission plan for the division's 35-member sales and marketing staff in the US making possible monthly payouts, rather than the former quarterly payouts.
